I’m Grace Barbic. I’m a sophomore at Illinois State University studying Journalism. I am on the Illinois State University Competitive Dance Team and I am currently in the running for the position of captain. I have a passion for dancing and I have been doing it for over 15 years. I enjoy listening to and discovering new music, taking my puppy for walks, hanging out with friends, taking pictures of nature and spending time with family. I am a very creative person. I love writing, doodling, decorating my apartment and crafting. I’m really into crime shows and scary movies. I’m a foodie and I have the biggest sweet tooth.
I come from a family of five where I am the youngest of three. My family is everything to me. They are crazy and loud, but they have made me into the person that I am today. In my future I hope to travel as much as I possibly can. I am a very easygoing, laid back person. I enjoy surrounding myself with positive influences and I am the type of person that can have a conversation with anyone. I genuinely care for those around me and I love helping others. I admire the simple things in life. I find pleasure in watching the sunset, looking at the stars, swimming on a hot day and driving with the windows down. I love yoga and meditating. As crazy as it sounds I find cleaning therapeutic and I love organizing things. You will never see me without my dog, Goose. He is my best buddy. I am excited and eager to be working towards my future career. I hope that my experiences and opportunities at ISU will help me grow into the professional I hope to become.
